HISTORY
LC Tree Service began as LC Tree Trimming in 2008. It started when a newlywed outdoorsman, Larry Coalson, quickly grew tired of his indoor office job. He longed to be outdoors in the fresh air, getting dirty. But with his first child on the way, how could he support his family? Trimming trees! It was a trade he learned in his 20s, and he loved it!
So, Larry quit his day job to jump fully into starting a new tree service business in San Diego. He had a truck. He had a trailer. And he had a chainsaw. Why not?
LC Tree Trimming had very humble beginnings. Larry’s primary form of marketing was performed by passing out simple flyers door-to-door all day long, which he performed mostly by himself. He handled customer service all by himself. And for tree service jobs, it was just him as the lead (and only) tree trimmer and an occasional helper.
But the direction of the company got serious when his wife, Lynnette, joined her husband. She implemented a business plan and marketing campaigns, and the company grew exponentially. The company was incorporated in 2012 as LC Tree Service Inc. What started with one man with a pickup truck grew into a company with multiple crews and over a dozen staff members.
We are still a small business, but don’t let size fool you. We’ve performed thousands of jobs around San Diego County and neighboring cities. We’ve successfully and safely handled hundreds of large trees (over 100 feet) around the city. In addition, we work with large companies and organizations from various industries, including the City of San Diego. So with our years of experience and expertise, you can trust that we will provide you with top-notch service for your tree projects!
